It was 13 years ago when the first Popovitch Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Center was open to teach the most effective form of self defense in the world, Gracie Jiu-Jitsu now commonly referred as "Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or BJJ" has been proven to be the most realistic form or hand to hand combat. After training intensively with the Gracie family (Rolles Gracie, Carlson Gracie, Rillion Gracie, Renzo Gracie,Crolin Gracie, Carlos Gracie), Jorge Popovitch along with his son Pablo Popovitch decided that it was time to bring Gracie/Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to South Florida, that's when the first Popovitch center was open in 1995.
