e is Giulio Timoteo. Thank you so very much for visiting my page. I’m a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) Blackbelt under the legendary Ricardo de la Riva. Through all my years of training and practice there’s been an underlying theme: not all schools are created equal. Under the same token, not all instructors are created equal either. I have a core belief in a methodoligy of teaching jiu jitsu which has been developed over the years of experiencing many different methods of teaching jiu jitsu. In my career, I’ve seen some instructors (which have a gazillion awards and achievements) that were not able to pass down all the techniques and methods in a fun and effective way; thus affecting optimal student growth. Let’s face it; you and I both know, if something isn’t fun, you’re not going to do it for long! Hence the reason why many students at other schools don’t stick around in the sport. You see, because of this, I developed a system that can take any regular ‘Joe’ off the streets and turn him into a Jiu Jitsu wizard in just a few short years! I’ve actually been able to prove this. To help you better understand, let me explain the belt system in BJJ. The belts go as follows: White, Blue, Purple, Brown, and Black. Some of my blue belts have the ability to “tap out” or submit brown belts from other academies (that’s 2 belt levels above their’s)! That’s huge! I think this goes to show to level of instruction and training that we provide here at Cooper City Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
